Early ballots reportedly reveal a growing Dem surge in Florida
Voter registration data and the early ballots in Florida show a strong surge of support in favor of the Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, according to a Friday report by Politico.
The data comes as nearly 311,000 Florida voters cast their absentee ballots on Friday.
While Republicans are leading Democrats in submitted absentee ballots by 1.9 percent, the GOP is behind on overall voter registration.
According to the report, Democrats have sent in 503,000 new voter registration forms while the Republicans submitted fewer than 60,000.
As of August, Florida also has 2 percent more registered active Democrats than Republicans.
