It was honestly the perfect album to follow up 21 with and cement her base. Hello still sounds fresh to me and LITD remains one of her best ballads. Only thing is it's not an album worthy of another 5 year break. And I don't mean that as an insult, just that it was not a game changing album that will buy her time for the next album like 21 did.

!!! to almost all of this.
I liked
25 from the beginning, but instead the tracks I like have totally shifted/reverse. I started out liking AIA the best and RL near least

I think I liked AIA because I wanted it to be sad and breakup-y, the Adele I knew from
21, but over time I kind of realized that that song (though not awful or anything) is almost like a parody of that. I've also been listening to
25 more recently, though
21 is still #1 in my heart.
21, it's an incredibly cohesive work, standalone, but
25 is more interesting in a way, there's songs that are a step up from
21 vocally (Hello), there are songs that change it up stylistically (e.g. RL, IMY), new topics/revistations of old (SD, MYA) it feels like it can spread out to various somethings bigger, depending on which of the paths it tests she takes. I guess I'm hoping for a mixture of the two as in with cohesiveness closer to
21, but building on more of the risks musically that a few of the tracks on
25 set up for.
I've mentioned before the summer tour thing, I still think that's the best idea... it keeps the era going past the first couple months and people genuinely enjoy seeing her so much.
