Taylor is mega successful but she's always been a safe artist, country or pop. 1989 may have been left-field for her but not in general.
How come we never hear artists cite Taylor Swift as a source of inspiration or "goals"?
How come we never hear people who blatantly rip off her sound?
Is it because she has no signature sound... but only one-note lyricism?
Is it because she is an act crafted from good PR and marketing?
