I am still waiting for the day where somebody elaborates on how anyone here spreads hate or what's so terrifying about this thread because different opinions than yours are not hate by default and asccusations without evidence behind it seem more like a lack of argument on your side

My thoughts exactly, you can be an atheist and be respectful at the same time.
Nothing wrong with religion when practiced in a liberal manner.

This implies that ideas and beliefs are inherently deserving of respect which they aren't.
People are but ideas aren't.
Every idea, be it religious or scientific is subject to ridicule and criticism.
Also, I'm only speaking for myself but I think many other people in this thread would agree that there would be no problem with religion if it was kept out of the government etc.
I wouldn't care what anyone would do in their own home but sadly it doesn't work like this atm.
Even in our western society religion infiltrates politics for example when it comes to abortion or gay marriage. And let's not get started on muslim coutries where religion holds way more power.
As long as religion has influence on the life of people who don't subscribe to that religion there will be people who'll criticize it heavily.
