Which is what they failed to do last era, all the singles were POP. Had she released "High Price" & "Like A Surgeon" instead of "Go Girl" & "Never Ever" she would have done WAY better.
She has a promo tour lined up for either month of July or August. So the album is really coming in the SUMMER.

What you have to understand is...Ciara's not coming off the "Goodies" era, she's coming off "Fantasy Ride".

"Go Girl" is a pop-driven and was meant to appeal to mainstream radio, hints the T-Pain feature. "Never Ever" is also a pop-driven ballad, very soft and chorus heavy, had Beyonce, Mariah Carey or Usher released this, it would have crossed over with no problem. "Never Ever" wasn't even promoted to Pop radio though, it was promoted to Urban because of "Love Sex Magic". A crossover single and a pure pop single promoting to different formats...stupid.

I think as long as Ciara does REALLY well on Urban and Rhythmic she'll be fine, because she will most likely go Top 40 on CHR if she's getting heavy play on the other two formats.

well what i mean is that IDK why she has
to split the singles into different formats....
she never had to do that for "goodies" and

that era so easily successful....it would be
smart if she released singles that could be
hits on every single format she can....

just like it would have been super perfect
if she made "work" the first single from FR
because i think that would have been a hit
on R&B and urban and pop all at the same
time without separating them and making it
be messy.....

The label heads are IDIOTS for releasing Go Girl and Never Ever point blank! I could have easily seen Never Ever on the album and not even given it a 2nd glance as a possible single from that era and I dont know why anyone on the label would think Go Girl would be a mainstream hit. . .It always felt more to me that CIARA herself just liked the song

I get what you're saying but the album is coming in LATE summer so there is a chance that Ride is just a BUZZ or PROMO single since it's being released so far ahead of time! If that's the case then the actual 1st single will be the big multi-format hit everybody wants

Naw, "You Got Me" is the promo single.

"Ride" is the FIRST.

If the album comes in late July/ Early August,
I'm sure they'll release an uptempo by late June/ early July.

Don't know how true it is But I read recently that the single choices may have something to do with her ex manager PHILANA and Because her name was contractually tied into some of the other tracks, they couldn't be released. .

the singles should have been "work"
and "love sex magic" and "pucker up"
and "tell me what your name is" and
"like a surgeon",FR would have been
a super huge era if it was like that....

was a hitbut i think i agree it would be way

dance song first since that's what most

like chi-town_kidd says,"ride" is the first
single and even anyway i don't see the point
of having a buzz single....if somebody releases
a really really really amazing song then you don't
need to have that just like how i don't think there's
any point to have singles that appeal to only one
format when you can easily just release a song
that is friendly and appeals to all formats at once
