I'm not, but Virginia loves Tim Kaine. Tim is in his home state, speaking to people who have seen the benefits of his work. Of course there'd be a little leeway for his debate performance.

Kaine missed a lot of opportunities and interrupted a lot in the beginning.
That said, I agree with Paul Begala that Pence through Trump under the bus and is looking for his own run in 2020.
Begala and the Dems wanted Pence to waste time defending Trump b/c that's what they wanted the debate to be about. Never do what your opponent wants you yo do. Pence played it smart by sticking to the issues. Trumps comments have been debated in the media ad nauseam. No point in debating it there.
