Okay, so like this album's total score is 7.1 which automatically put it in 'B' grade of my preference. Shame since TMOU is 9.1 which is A grade while Lucifer is 8.6 which is A- grade.
Anyway, back on topic, I just love the fact that they brought the retro style to these record especially with Lipstick, So Amazing, etc. They have done great job in diversing the moods or emotions of this record ranging from cheerful '1of1' to Sad 'Don't Let Me Go' to sexy 'Don't Stop'. It's very well done to make sure that we don't stick to just one emotion, but ranging from one to another. Give them an Applause, y'all.
My issue with this record is that it's too short. Like 8(+1 for Fans). "The shorter the better11!!1" I know, I know. But they always do great job with more tracks just like their older album. Nevertheless, that's minor issue. My main issue is that there's no ballad/low tempo that showcase their vocals. I love their ballads. If you don't like their ballads, you dont really love yourself. Jk, but not really jk. Perfect Illusion, isn't it? Buy it on iTunes, pls. Welp, back on topic, They always do the justice to Ballad since they can create the emotions with these types of song. So, yea I'm somewhat pissed. Don't Let Me Go is an example of the song that they can emote the emotions(Am I saying it right?), sadly it falls in midtempo.
Anyway, while I appreciate their effort, I was left with somewhat dissatisfied. Maybe I was expecting too much?
Looking forward to their comeback. Hwaiting!!
