I don't think she lacks drive. She has a sense of fulfillment now, I suppose. She's working on many other projects now and I don't think she's able, at this time, to work herself beyond her comfort level. I don't think she's interested in being the Queen of Pop and I don't think she likes being assessed as an artist whose ability is solely to sell.
She denounced herself as a pop artist and vocally admitted to wanting to quit because she was tired of being seen as a cash cow who could wear this, sell that, and make that.
She's doing what makes her happy and enjoying the music. Though I don't understand why they even decided to release a single instead of just releasing the album (once completed)
