I dont mind it flopping because I love PI so I expect the album to be stellar. What bugs me is that she seems to have lost that drive she had, to be the very best in the industry. She practically threw everything she was supposed to be out the window, which is weird. And again it's not about PI flopping, it's about the lack of effort in everything. No performances, mediocre video (fits the song but it's just not up to par with Gaga's vids) and a repeat of the same visual over and over again.

I don't think she lacks drive. She has a sense of fulfillment now, I suppose. She's working on many other projects now and I don't think she's able, at this time, to work herself beyond her comfort level. I don't think she's interested in being the Queen of Pop and I don't think she likes being assessed as an artist whose ability is solely to sell.

She denounced herself as a pop artist and vocally admitted to wanting to quit because she was tired of being seen as a cash cow who could wear this, sell that, and make that.

She's doing what makes her happy and enjoying the music. Though I don't understand why they even decided to release a single instead of just releasing the album (once completed)

I have zero expectation for the album. I have none going into PI and because of that I'm able to enjoy it.

I'm mentally prepared for the album to either be good or bad, and to succeed or flop. I don't care that much about its commercial performance but I will be disappointed if she doesn't deliver a stellar album. It needs to be something that was worth the long wait.

All I've asked of Gaga this era is good music and I got that with PI. Hopefully, I will also get that with the rest of the album, and I'm hopeful.

If she's choosing to flop that's fine! But I'd like some quality music and SOFY with PI/Dope vocals is just not gonna cut it!

I really don't think she should do a promo single.

I really believe she should release a second single a week before the release of Joanne. Without the album being released there's a better chance of her getting a hit, and a new song on the radio will be better promo for the album than just releasing a promo single her fans will only care for.

This makes good enough sense to me. But at this point it's pretty clear she isn't going to have any hit singles unless she can get some kind of attention/airplay for a song that isn't completely polarizing(while PI is good, it's certainly abrasive and not easy to digest in one listen). And since she's focusing on quality and album cohesion, a performance showcasing her new image and sound seems like a no brainer.

I think the second single should be released 1 week before the album too, if they were smart, release the music video on album week and put it on all of the Spotify playlists / banners that week too, and then have her perform on SNL + Do Carpool Karaoke
