Madtown's mini album was cute. i expected it to be a bit stronger (given their previous release) but it was pretty good. i hope they come harder next time tho & try out a more different sound. but i like how they let each of the members pretty much shine but still sounding like a group
these two songs tho >>>
i do! it's just when i talk about albums/etc i try to not mention the single lol. but i love the single! just want them, as a whole, to truly come hard & deliver what their capable of delivering if that makes any sense lol
just got finished DIA's 'Spell' album and... i'm genuinely shocked. it was good, like, really ****ing good lol.
idk what to expect at first with DIA tbh, i don't much about them or their music (i never listened to their previous stuff or maybe i have and my dumbass just forgot ) but they seem like talented, hardworking gals.
& lemme tell you, they did their thing on this album. going into it, i literally thought it was gonna be a whole album full of 'Mr.Potter's (nothing wrong with that. i, for one, think it's a great lead single and one of the best of the month) but i wanted some variety.. & they gave me that.
the opening song gives me GFriend/more cutesy girl group vibes but its a mix of their own thing. their harmonies throughout & the cute little 'Mr.Potter' shoutout just warmed my heart tbh. it has a bit of a disco flare (not disco-disco but a little pinch lol)
Mr.Potter slays, hands down. it has such a Halloween vibe to it especially with the opening instruments. the chorus is weird but oddly charming & it gets stuck in your head, basically like the whole song lol.
the third song (i dont know the symbols but ima call it 'DIA version') was cute, but went nowhere so that can be deleted if so. but i wont, hopefully it grows on me.
but now onto the B O P of the whole album, Track #4. whew! lemme tell you as soon as them fake indian sounds came through my headphones, i know i was gonna be able to bop to this HARD. & from looking up, this is the member Cathy's solo? if so, she DID THAT and is one of my faves from the group. her rap was and the trap/hip-hop production underneath made it all just epic. i gotta see that live
& lastly, 'The Love' is honestly so chill and just lovely. i thought it was gonna be that typical boring song alot of groups have on their album but when the chorus & bridge came, it truly swept me away. and then the harmonies and background vocals to the end giving me a bit of a gospel feel, i love it. they sound like angels & i love the jazzy trumpet in the background too, it gives it that lil extra something.
okay well, idk, i just wanted to explain my thoughts on the album for no reason lol (aint nobody reading this mess so it doesnt matter really lol)
my top 3 faves of course
i don't stan (yet), but they totally have my eye & i for sure will be checking for their next comeback. this was really promising & i hope it's all even better from here
*cant believe i went in depth on DIA's album lol, truly random but the album was really good so it's all good lol
................I'm starting to think that Russian Roulette is RV's best title track yet. I know this isn't true but that's how I'm feeling. someone get me together real quick
JYP is handling I.O.I's final single including production, choreo, and outfits.
Poor Twice.
i was ready to give up all hope for them and think 'Whatta Man' was the only randomly great single they could have but since JYP is gonna be in charge, their next single has a 80% chance of being a bop

It definitely surpassed Happiness and OOTN for me. But idk if it has reached ICC and DD level yet.
It's my most played tho.

I didn't really wanna compare it to the R&B songs but yeah, it's slaying ICC and DD for me rn but it's most likely bc I played those out and this is newer.
'Russian Roulette' is Red Goddesses best lead single yet tbh and i cant believe i'm saying that since all of their singles are beyond great & unique
but RR just has that, it has that extra spice to it. idk if it's the 80's sound, the pure fun pop-ness of it all, or the incredible video, or all 3. but it's everything and irresistible
