My prediction (I predicted she was going to retire and do theater some years ago) is she'll likely continue to drift far and away from what's mainstream. I can see her putting out minimalist jazz/acoustic albums while focusing on theater (either the big screen, Broadway, or both). Guess she'll direct her own movie sooner or later! When and if she returns to pop fifteen years from now it'll probably be about the same quality as a drag race contestant album
