That member is right though. The silent white/consevative voters could potentially pull an upset.
70% of young voters chose remain in the EU referendum.
The voter turnout those 24 and under was DOUBLE what the polls suggested.
However that still wasn't enough.
Because the silent white/old/conservatives came out in force.
18-24: 64%
25-39: 65%
40-54: 66%
55-64: 74%
65+: 90%
Practically every Brexit poll was wrong, because there were a lot of voters who kept silent on their opinions. It's a common fact that people will be more honest in the voting booth than to the polls.
People might not want to publicly appear racist or intolerant etc.

That's basically my fear for this election. The public supporters for Trump are only one side to it.
U.S has a 72% white population. We just better hope that a brexit situation doesn't happen.

The only saving grace from a potential Brexit effect in November is there are no where near as many white voters in America compared to the population. Americans are so apathetic about even registering to vote, let alone actually voting.

In '12, Obama won FL by 74k votes. Eligible Latinos who didn't vote: 725k. But eligible non-college whites who didn't vote? 2.5 *million.*
Point being, these "missing white voters" do exist. So far, I just haven't seen much evidence in reg/other data Trump is activating them.

If these people could vote, I'd bet they would vote for Trump.
