At similar points in their careers Madonna was on LAP/Immaculate Collection. Vogue was smashing and she began her legendary Blonde Ambition tour.
Janet was admist her Janet Era that sold over 18M WW, scored 6 top 10 hits and 2 #1's.
Whitney was on The Body Guard, need I say more
Mariah was on 'Butterfly' and '#1's', breaking records in Asia and still scoring hits on the charts.
In more recent terms by the point in their careers Beyonce was on IASF and Britney on 'Circus' both hit albums with hit singles, #1's and all.
Katy and Gaga aren't past their primes. In Gaga's case she just didn't have longevity. Neither have even been out for 10 years yet like Taylor Swift or Rihanna, both of whom are doing quite well.
