and some of y'all acting as if 'Wonderland' was high profile promo while its viewership were the PITS. And since when is the MTV audience a loyal music buying audience again?
#87 ain't bad, Superlove peaked at #50 with triple the hype and being the obviously weaker song.

Ok, this is subjective but these are all good or even great ( "Pretend" may be a little vanilla but it's not too bad ).

She makes it seem like everything will be a world premiere event...but not delivering on the goods.
And honestly a lot of it is because her recent tracks have like no hook...which is weird to me.

That has nothing to do with it and you need to do your research before coming to your own conclusions.
She always attaches visuals to whatever it is she's doing and has done so since she started making mixtapes.

Well, ok, let's settle down though, cause Aquarius had Kimmel, Fallon, Good Morning America, the BET pre-show, 106 & Park and Soul Train Awards, while Joyride has Wonderland and the VMA's post-show so far
But yeah, Aquarius >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> the tracks officially released from Joyride so far.

late night show are almost useless. doesn't the soul train awards received several 100K views? Plus alot of these promo spot were after the song have peak and/or a bad performer.
i don't mean just TV promo stops. add to the biggest radio stations in america, iTunes, Spotify, radio,MTV, and etc.
ok i know i am reaching , but my point is if was releasing material on the level of aquarius or better she would be doing 5 time better and RCA would invested more in her, which mean more and better promo. Result in a hit and album release.

That's true... Her greatest problem is that her releases never respond to anything she does. Not airplay, not promo, nothing. THAT is serious. Player never returned to the iTunes top 200, despite the video, the decent pop airplay and the late night performance and Superlove never even returned to the top 400.
I still have faith in her though. The song she needs might be on Joyride

I'm confused as to why she did not receive a UK push.
AMF was a big hit without even trying.
All she needed was a radio friendly song (which she has) and she'd be able to secure a ton of promo spots and coverage in a country that is much easier to break.

They've paid for videos and promo slots with no return for a year now. I think late-night shows are now out of the question and morning shows were never an option
It seems silly for them to do all of this back-and-forth when they should focus on the song first and foremost. Get her a great SONG and then go from there.
The other thing that worries me is how this has affected the album. Whenever artists announce album info years in advance, with a ton of music released between the announcement and actual album, things turn into a complete mess. A prime example of that would be VIEWS. Announced in 2013 and released in 2016. By the time it came out the original 2014 leaks/info we got were irrelevant and he had different goals. Part of me is like, why are we still in the Joyride era? Why was the era even announced so early? Because the songs she's released since then + performed in concert are enough to be a full album. It almost feels like they should start over at this point, no one really know the difference anyway. They even have an excuse to do so after the "Joyride" leak.
Taking a break, releasing a mixtape/collabs, re-setting, and trying again in Q1/Q2 would be annoying but probably yield more success for her. If they release the album anytime soon it will bomb completely (like, 10k SPS) and she'll get dropped. Then again idk if she wants to stay with them or not.

They've only paid for two visuals this era and the rest were all Tinashe's doing

210,000 plays on its first full day on Spotify
218,000 plays total
SL had 190k so it's pretty much in the same range, although I think Company was in more playlists

flopping
#113
i never knew why RCA never push her oversee. With AMF and its affect she could have taken over the UK,Oceania, and most of Europe (atleast eastern EU). AMF did well in a lot of country with absolutely no promo, in some market that song wasnt sent to radio or have a radio push. Not capitalizing and investing in AMF to its full potential is the biggest mistake of her career. I don't understand why all these label only care about the US market. Yes the US is the biggest market, but having 5+ of the biggest music market>>>>US especially when you are flopping in the US.
AMF have 205KK stream ( more than some the biggest in the US and some pop gurls hits) and one of her best selling song worldwide and it received one lousy promo spot in the market it was doing the worst at.

That's not flopping, I expected it to drop within the 200's.
But yeah they need to push her internationally, AMF could've been so much more

Company > Player > All My Friends > Party Favours > Ride Of Your Life > Superlove
Y'all don't like this? It's the only song I would consider AQ level from this era so far ddd

Company is amazing. Party Favours is the only song that tops it.
