It sounds a bit silly, but I swear to God if you go deeper and deeper into Madonna's catalog and her history, there'll be days when you feel like she's your best friend. She's pulled all of us through some tough times, I imagine.
I always tell people being a Madonna fan is wrapping yourself up in a universe of albums, looks, imagery, tours, videos, interviews, where she's been, who she's met, what she's done, it's a bottomless pit and it's utterly intoxicating.
If you ever have like 9559291 dollars, find yourself a copy of last year's edition of Encyclopedia Madonnica and start reading. It's a compendium of pretty much everything we know about Madonna and it's so much fun to go through.

Thank you so much, i agree - she has such a incridible catalog, sometimes watching her live performances, videos, interviews from all decades i just can't believe how great she is.
And i love how she always put so much time and inspiration into her discography and visuals - i'm fascinated by her life as well, all the phases and different paths she's been through in all those years. I have to say that the 1991-1995 had my favorite Madonna moments. The ray of light era was also incridible - that definitely was the most inspired time in her life i think.
Thank you so much for the tips - i'm very interested in knowning at least most of Madonna life she never bores me lol
Bedtime Stories needs much more appreciation tbh - that album is probably my favorite - i don't even know why tbh. Sanctuary is very very good.

Yes God! Thank you!
Take a Bow is so criminally underrated. It should be illegal by federal law.

Yup that's me! That song is ahhh EPIC to me.
To me, it should be a classic. I know it's a Madonna classic song but i feel it's kind of overshadowed by other songs in her discography.. or maybe because it was more like a huge US single and not so much everywhere else.

My top 5 on Bedtime Stories:
1. Take A Bow
2. Secret
3. Human Nature
4. Survival
5. Sanctuary

You know, my rule is not to rank new albums from artists I love until they're a year old. That way I can really live with them and figure out how I feel about them among the singer's previous work. But I still have no clue where I'd rank Rebel Heart It doesn't help that I've drastically altered the album and barely remember how the official version goes.

That's a great top 5... I have to say that i'm still not very into Erotica. I love some songs in there but i haven't got into the whole album i hope i will soon. I'm giving it more chances every now and then. It also took me some time to get Ray of Light but now i love every single song and it's one of my favorite albums ever.

I agree with the fact that the COADF singles are staples to the 21st century Madonna hits chronology, but if you take them away, the only killer tracks left on the parent album are: Let It Will Be, Isaac and Like It Or Not.
Whereas with Rebel, you have: Devil Pray, HeartbreakCity, Inside Out, Best Night, Veni Vedi Vici, title track, Beautiful Scars AND Graffiti Heart (a pure pop bop).
Yes, the latter tracklist is a mess and the consistency is non-existent, but when you learn to understand every track on it's own and delete the unnecesary if wanted, you have a great album.
The Confessions Tour is still Madonna's best, though.

Erotica is one that really grows with you, I think. I went into it thinking it was going to be a lot racier and smuttier than it was. It wasn't the soul-level love I have with the album now, but I was intrigued by it the first time I heard it, and I liked a lot of the songs. I predict you'll end up treasuring the album more than some of your family members.

Have you made adjustments to Rebel Heart? And UGH at The Confessions Tour. My first Madonna concert. I look back and realize how fortunate I was to catch her at such an artistic high.

Music Inferno is still the best part of the Confessions Tour and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Anyway, sorry for the late reply -
My favorite song on American Life is definitely Love Profusion followed by I'm So Stupid and Nothing Fails.
I'm a very new Madonna fan by the way - i've loved her music for some years now and i listened to her sometimes when i was a kid and related people to me listened to her - have some nice memories of listening to "Take A Bow" which is probably my favorite Madonna song ever (maybe, there are so many epic songs tho)
I have listened to her discography but there are lots of songs i haven't heard yet and lots of history i don't know yet but she's incridible and i'm getting there (being a real fan) someday.
I think i'm going to visit this base more, if i'm welcomed of course

Of course you're welcome here we're a very friendly group (well ,most of us ,at least ) and ,sometimes ,it feels like family lol.
Anyway, your fave songs.on AL are my least favorite ones
My faves are Intervention/X-Static Process/ Easy Ride . HM goes to Nobody Knows Me and I reckon that NF is a fantastic song, albeit I don't quite like it THAT much
