I don't care if Angie wins her slams against Serena in peak form or just with a lot of luck against random scrubs
But that QF was a great match against a great Vika.

Nothing to discuss - it's just a repulsive invasion of privacy for documented medical exemptions these athletes received for legitimate conditions. I mean, Venus plays with an autoimmune disorder, Serena has well known injuries she's treated throughout her career, and Simone has lived with and treated ADHD her whole life. In each case, they did the right thing by obtaining official permission to use a needed medication for their legitimate conditions. What a sad thing to do in order to smear some of the most prolific figures in sports.
Also, I'm genuinely confused and surprised the hackers went after three legendary black female athletes

It exposes Maria even more, all she had to do was submit a TUE like the sisters have, and every athlete does when they have an illness they need to cure with one of the prohibited medication. I mean what were they thinking ?
WADA has already issued a statement saying it'll be hard to trust the Russian federation or something like that, if they're in revenge mode Maria is going to GET IT.

player that needs those things to "get better" shouldn't be allowed to play tbh
the TUE is a mess, it's just like legit doping

What are you even talking about ? Have you read the documents ? Should Venus not be allowed to treat her auto immune disease ?

It exposes nothing. She did not need any TUE before 2016 because Meldonium was legal and in January she didn't know it had been banned.
The hack proves nothing. The hackers claim that those TUEs are a way for the americans to legalize their doping but leaking files of only 4 athletes proves nothing.

Some illnesses need those kind of medications. Besides, the medications used by Serena, Venus, and Biles (not sure about the lesbian basketball player I didn't look at her records) were corticosteroids. Corticosteroids are not doping steroids, which are anabolic steroids (which Meldonium is supposed to be). So those three athletes received no athletic benefit other than recovering from their illnesses.
And on that note, Serena and Venus only used those drugs out of competition for mere weeks throughout the years. So they definitely were not aided during a tournament (like Maria) nor have they been on it for years (like Maria lol). And the TUEs granted were done by independent doctors who judged the sisters were good to use it.
They were as transparent as they had to be and like us, they're humans. Venus has an autoimmune disease and Serena has had knee troubles since 2004. Tennis is a rough sport and no one is injury free

Legal or not Maria should have wrote down all the medication she was taking over the years anyway. She failed to write that one down, never asked for a TUE, used it in competition, and was subsequently caught

Venus issued a statement:
"I was disappointed to learn today that my private, medical data has been compromised by hackers and published without my permission. I have followed the rules established under the Tennis Anti-Doping Program in applying for, and being granted, 'therapeutic use exemptions'.
"The applications for TUEs under the Tennis Anti-Doping program require a strict process for approval which I have adhered to when serious medical conditions have occurred. The exemptions posted in the hacked report are reviewed by an anonymous, independent group of doctors, and approved for legitimate medical reasons. I am one of the strongest supporters of maintaining the highest level of integrity in competitive sport and I have been highly disciplined in following the guidelines set by WADA, USADA, the ITF and collectively the Tennis Anti-Doping Program."

You're being dishonest. Her use of meldonium CLEARLY indicates she was using it for PED, but it wasn't illegal before 2016. BUT, she was still at fault before 2016 since she was supposed to disclose every medication she'd take, legal or illegal, and hid it for 10 years. Then, she did "doped" for a month in January 2016, after being warned multiples times. (source : http://www.si.com/tennis/2016/03/09/...d-wada-itf-wta ) I know you're a fan, but just be honest here, she was shady the entire time, she did dope for a month, and she got rightfully suspended.

People have been looking for ways to discredit the sisters since they debuted anyway. God forbid they actually look up what are Prednisone side effects, and they'll maybe realize how it's not PED, but quite the contrary actually

I'm not being dishonest. I don't care if any player takes any PED or gets any sort of performance enhancing treatment as long as it's legal.
Maria did break the rules and she has to pay, I never denied that (I only complained about the 2 years ban because I believe it's too much).
My reply to your post was very specific. You said that she could've simply asked for a TUE when it was not the case.

Yes she could, and should have. In January 2016, for her "heart condition" that she claimed to have.

Yes, she should have (if she really has any problem), but my point is she didn't know it was banned hence she didn't ask for it. No one is ever going to ask for a TUE for something they believe it's legal. If she had asked for that TUE it would've meant she knew it was banned, which is not the case (otherwise she would've got a 4 years ban)

It was more than just about not knowing it was banned (which was completely her fault but she has admitted so. Good on her)
She also never demonstrated any medical need for it, it was never administered by a doctor, and she never declared her intent to use it (protocol to do whether something is legal or not). In her case, 2 years seems fit .

They're actually using different drugs. According to these papers at least
https://mobile.twitter.com/FancyBear...64800646205440
For different drugs listed, two each for Serena and Venus. If someone can find the complete list (I thought it was like 4 for Serena not two) that'd be helpful but either way just because someone uses the same drugs doesn't mean they have the same conditions. Drugs can treat a variety of symptoms
