PI is a grower 100%, not sure if it was good for a lead single when people usually listens once and that's it, but I love it. Now she needs to be evrywere so people can listen to it and get stuck in the perfect illusion.

I don't see the similarities, BTW was a movement, she was coming and expresing herself as a the persona she build Gaga, P.I just show her as a normal person who got heartbroken, this album until now feels personal even the way that Gaga interacts with her fans now is different I won't say distant but is not shown through social media as before, I think she is done with her ambition about being the most succesful popstar in the world, ARTPOP dried her so much, that she only wants to release music but not being Mother Monster anymore, I don't blame her for changing I suppose you dont think the same when you are 25 than when you are 30, she wants a more peaceful life, but either way you cant blame some fans for feeling weird about this, some of them are really stupid wanting redone back I think at first place she wanted to gave us another full pop album but then she discovered the real Taylor Kinney and got heartbroken and deppresed and the album direction changed, for what it seems and her attitude I dont think things will go well this era, it feels uninspired in some way not only because of P.I which I like it but because in the way she is expressing herself, there is a lack of interest in her, she doesn't seem too fond about it.

P.I. video won't do wonders either if it turns to be she alone just singing the song which I think it is, so :/ I still love Gaga but it is sad that we never have a great era and as each era passes it goes worst and worst.

I think you are right about something but not about the era, she wanted to come back hard with ARTPOP, that's why she called it TFM's rave little sister even though it felt like TFM's trashy cousin that has a drug addiction and only appears around Thanksgiving to ask for money.

I don't blame her for giving up on her fans or her ambition for fame, not everyone deals with pressure the same way, HipGate probably still haunts her to this day and all of that she could have done to prevent it.

ReDone said that they were both put in the studio to see if they could work something out, I do feel like maybe the direction was going to be more disco/funk-ish because Nille Rogers and Giorgio Moroder were the big names tossed around last year along with Mark Ronson but then again, we are just speculating and who knows? Maybe the album will have some disco and rock influences.

What it's certain is that it's time for the fanbase to put in the trash the idea that we will get another pop album.

I just want the music, and the fact that we waited 3 years just to get Perfect Illusion is just... Don't care about anything else, I just want good songs and videos that inspire me the way she always has. If she wants to go a different route sonically that's fine with me, but I'm not a yes-man monster that will pretend to like anything she does. The song is simply not good, and if people wanna act like I'm not a real fan or something because I'm not praising an eight-word chorus as the second coming, then fine. If she's OK with disappointing the majority of her fanbase to chase after a demographic that doesn't exist but rather the single mother holding a pino grigio that she made up in her head...

Like when she was describing who she imagined listening to PI or whatever this morning I was super confused.... Like why are you making up imaginary demographics instead of thinking of your fans and people who actually consume music..? Even the people defending the song wouldn't be listening if it wasn't Gaga. I just don't understand how they could ever think this would be appealing to the masses or be the COMEBACK they've been setting up all these years. I'm still super disappointed and have at least some hope for the second single, but I doubt they would put out PI as the lead if there are bigger, better, poppier songs on the album.

Also my friend assisted at the music video set and it's nothing. It's literally her performing the song with a car in the desert. not gonna do anything for the song.
