I'm scared as I'm starting a Foundation Science Degree in International Travel and Tourism Management next week and I'm 21, I'll be 22 in November, I just hope there's students who are the same age as me or a bit older like 25, then it means I'll not be the oldest student there.

There will definitely be people 18-25 there, not sure about older, but there's usually a few.

I'm doing it at Belfast Metropolitan College, which means I have to travel every day as I live in Dungannon which is 45 minutes from Belfast Met which isn't too bad. I don't mind if there is people older than me, as when I was doing my BTEC Level 3 in Travel and Tourism, there was a 32 old woman in our class, she was so lovely and I did talk to her quite a bit, but if there isn't, for me, it would feel weird if I was the oldest student there. I'm hoping to make a few friends as I have struggled all my life with making them, so hopefully it will change. I'm looking forward to it.

Was it easy to do sis? My FdSc in International Travel and Tourism Management has modules such as Leadership and People Management, Global Tourism Management, Passenger Transport Management, Events Organisation and Accountancy.

Yeah, it was a simple two year program. We were taught things like Airfare Ticketing (all the different seat classes, economy, premium economy, business class, etc.) the reservation systems like Galileo/Apollo and Sabre. Also things like Geography, Accounting, Business Plans, Tourism Law, Travel Products.

I got lucky with the airport as it's opening a brand new terminal next month and I got hired on a team that's helping open it up. Otherwise, there's no jobs out there.
