ANTI was done under very weird circumstances and was her first foray into doing an album without the input/final decisions of a major label. For me, it felt like a renaissance rather than an ending. I easily think she can/will top it, especially as she continues to explore more with songwriting on her own and getting more personal. Part of the reason ANTI was such a triumph is because it was not only a great album but showed great potential. Her ear for hits has developed and matured into something much more meaningful. She's also shown tremendous growth in this past year alone in terms of confidence and happiness... I think all of that will help when it comes time to make more music. I also think her love of R&B, rock, etc. will continue to take center stage.

Do y'all think Empress Rih will top ANTI in the near future? ANTI is easily her best record with timeless and iconic tunes. I don't think her next LP will be able to match or top it tbh idk! The bar is just set SO high

Yes, she can. That's why I think she'll take some time to release an album. I hope for songs like Kiss It Better to appear on R9.

Agreed. And like you said before, she needed to make UNA in order to do ANTI. She was slowly building to a new start for a while now. The R8 era was also crucial.

If Rihanna stays true to herself, makes music that is organic, and authentic to who and where she is in her life then she will be just fine. I think we may be in for a treat with her next album being even more experimental than Anti. She's definitely capable and has shown so much promise with each album (Red Lipstick, No Love Allowed, Watch N Learn, Te Amo, G4L,etc) she will only go up as long as she takes her time and gives us the quality.

Anti is a great album, but my favourite is RR. The next album will be, for me, a mix of anti and big hits ( look loud)
