I'm re-watching American Idol and it's so funny watching it as a Stan of Nicki and Mariah.
I just finished episode one and I was legit cackling @ Nicki saying 'your range is better than Mariah's!' to one contestant who couldn't sing for ****.

I kind of wished they got along tbh. Nicki is funny as well in that witty cunning way that Mariah is so familiar with. I can see how they could've brought all their behind the scenes inside jokes to set. Every time I think of what Idol could've been it makes me sad. It had such great potential.
My hope is that Mariah's World doesnt miss this opportunity to do what Idol was supposed to do. I want to believe that she will have a lengthy relationship with E!. If the show was really only about the European tour, there would be no need to still be filming, something she admitted that they were still doing only a few weeks ago. Interesting.
I stopped because Beyonce was stuck in my head. I'm relistening now. Boy, Yours and Clown are standing out for me right now. But havent heard full album yet

Orphy stay brewing the tea in here! I think Nicki was actually one of the best on the panel because she was super honest and I actually agreed with 90% of her feedback. Mariah decided to play the older, wiser figure on the panel (esp. in live shows), but you could see in the auditions that they have similar senses of humor and their banter about Mean Girls, Cinderella, etc., was cute. I wish that season went differently

The most tragic part is, they had made up and Nicki praised Mariah on Ellen then like a day before Mariah's Barbara Walters interview aired which was what really upset Nicki.
I have a feeling that if Mariah saw Nicki's Ellen comments before the Barbara interview the whole thing would've gone differently.
The producers of AI were trash to both of them that season.
I wouldn't be surprised if they were the ones who made up the gun comment.
