by "we", do u mean the trainer or the Pokemon? Because the keystone that was in the mega ring looks to be on the underneath of the Z-Ring. So it can hold the crystals for the trainer + the mega stone. Whereas a Pokemon would only be able to hold either its mega stone or the Z crystal I imagine. (Except in M-Ray's case but I feel like since Delta Episode is gone, he'll need a Rayquazite in Sun and Moon)

Yeah, I think the opposite of your first statement is true. They probably realized later in development that they made ice/dark an afterthought for this tropical region, and slapped the typing on a few old pokemon. Rattata, ok, but Ice Ninetales and to a lesser extent sandslash (and dark meowth) just feels random. I expect 0-2 original lines for ice and dark.

Eh, we don't know how powerful they are yet: look at the Snorlax one, it completely wiped out gumshoos at 100%, presumably neutral STAB imagine they're like 250 BP or something... giving a normal one to sylveon for example, and having it completely obliterate any switch in sans heatran with a 325 BP (before stab) move Also, maybe they have great secondary effects, we just really don't know at this point. And even if they're just ok, unburden and acrobatics are a thing in certain tiers

I don't think the Z-Crystals are consumable, so no Acrobatics/Unburden abuse there.
