I think it's going to be our regular "big" trailer that we've had at the start of each month. It explains why they didn't announce it before now and the reason it didn't happen today was because the Direct was happening. So it's probably going to be our regular 3-4+ minute trailer. And there'll be another one in 2 weeks around the 20th or so, I'd imagine.

I doubt we will get more alternate forms from any other region unless it is a semi-isolated region like they are playing Alola up to be (the different forms, the lack of a proper League, etc.) I can't remember the scientific term, but it actually makes sense for Pokemon to change slightly (or dramatically, in some of the cases we've seen) bc they are on an isolated island and blah blah blah. It wouldn't make much sense for another non-island region tho.

But, then again, I really thought Mega Evolution was something they'd keep, but it really looks like it might not make the games. I wouldn't be surprised if they pull it back out for Sinnoh tho, like someone else said.

I also wonder if the reason we haven't seen any original Dark or Ice line is because the alolan forms took their spot.

This could go as far as there not being many new lines for those two, which would be stupid, or they are just revealing some over the others for the sake of diversity.
