I agree with that. I'm also still trying to figure out whether it's management or Republic.
Charlie Walk @ Republic seems to LOVE Ariana, so I would think he would know how to handle her eras well, and would want this one to go perfectly, but it hasn't been executed that way. I feel like they thought taking a minimalist approach with promo (a la Selena with GFY) would work for her but it definitely has not at all...
The videos have been lazy, until this one, and then she doesn't even snippet IY at the VMA's, which would've been excellent double promo.
Oh well, no crying over the past...
Looking forward to this HOPEFULLY reviving the era and taking off for her. I see it doing well (with proper payola).
