Poor Godney, her performance felt so out of context when the show was basically an ode to BLM
She did the best with what she got tbh. Neither the song, the collab or the show in general were allowing her to glow in a better way.
Honestly she did great with what she had to work with (a mid-tempo single). I loved it. Maybe people were expecting her to do some sort of medley like The Beyst and that's why they were left disappointed.
It was honestly better than 95% of the other performances.
