Honestly, I somewhat agree. I've never been more hyped before than I am for Sun and Moon. But that doesn't mean I think the Pokemon designs are the best we've had. I'd say they're currently at a 65-35% level of what I really like to what I don't like or what I don't think I'd ever use. So it's a decent generation thus far. But there's nothing I can say that I'm like "instant new faves" like Delphox, Greninja, Mismagius etc were. I adore Pikipek but I can't say for certainty until I see the final evolutions because it could easily turn uglee.
I love Rowlet's base form, Poppmaid, Lunala and quite a few others too and will def use them on my teams but there's nothing that would infiltrate my top 20.
the lashes and gifs he gave in the gen 1 pokemon rate were iconic
I have nintendo 3ds XL and i'm not sure how it will look there. B looked terrible
