This!! HBO will probably campaign hard for Bey as they do with their other shows. The last music special to win this award was in 2007 for Tony Bennett (it was directed by Rob Marshall, the Emmys love to reward high profile directors) before him it was Cher in 2003 (she had the big views in her favor) since then it's always the kennedy Center Honors. Can the Emmys get out of their comfort zone?? Like OneAndOnly i'm more exited abt this than the VMAs.

SML still top 10 on the Hot 100. She needs to perform it at the VMAs and make it possibly go top 5.

The fact that the director for Adele's special was only involved with SNL and 30 Rock... I know that the big award goes to the producers but still a high profiled director increases the chances of winning.
Anyway this is a minor concern because she already has the record breaking views in her favour.

I could see Adele's special winning. Her special was highly acclaimed and it might be more appealing to the type of voters at the Emmy's.

I'm not going to get my hopes up for anything though. Lemonade was amazing so I wouldn't be upset if it won, but I just want Adele to get closer to her EGOT.

My show still feels like it's months away yet it's in a couple of weeks. I need to mentally prepare myself for this.

Has anyone else gotten the VIP package, specifically the silver package? I know I get a laminate and a lanyard but it also says you get a special merchandise item. Anyone know what it is?

I still don't know if I'm going to buy merchandise at the show or just buy it from the online store. It depends on how big the crowd is and if it's worth the wait.

!!! Less than a month now for me !!!!! I think I saw for the VIP package a tote bag, a litho 12x12, and a blanket but i think this varies (i dont think you get all of them).

I want to at least get the lithograph poster Not sure how early I have to get inside, but I think the earliest i can get to the stadium is like 5ish You should try and get a litho too!

I did a bit of research, and among the nominees, Adele's special is the most watched (I couldn't find the ratings for Amy Schumer's special but I doubt it has more viewers than Adele's). However, idk how much ratings are a factor in this category.

If we're going by most wins, Kennedy Center Honors has it.

EDIT: Just wanted to add that Amy is out of the question since the hype around her has died and her stand up special failed to make any impact (also the rumours about her stealing jokes), James Corden is still new he's not a contender. So it's a tied possibilty between the remaining three.

The VIP extras seem kinda pointless to me and I only bought it so I could get a closer seat. I just want the poster and a t-shirt at least.

Thankfully my show is in Michigan so maybe the merchandise line won't be THAT busy. Your show is at MSG. Good luck getting anything with that crowd.

Mike, I totally forgot you're going to a show in Michigan! You're going on the 6th, right? My best friend and I are trying to win tickets to that one so that I can see the queen twice! Not getting my hopes up, but it's worth a shot!

I can't believe that the next tour date Adele will play is in Michigan. Only one more concert until mine. I'm trying to prepare myself emotionally... It's going to be the best night of my entire life.

As for the award shows... Considering Future was their "big" announcement today, I honestly do not see Adele performing. I don't even know if she'll go. As for the Emmys, I want Bey to get something, just not the one that Adele is up for because she HAS to win and get closer to her EGOT!
