Anyway, gay publications should make gay artists a priority over gay icons like Gaga, Britney, etc. It's great that they write about them as well, but it's clearly a problem when they wait days to post about Frank then write about Gaga, Carly, Steve Grand, etc. almost instantaneously.

Of course call out Troye's privilege as a white person, but in the way that Frank may help other black bisexual boys come out, Troye has been extremely vocal about issues facing gay men, and tried his best to be intersectional in the representation of gay men he puts in his video. You also have to have perspective. If you're a black celebrity and coming out, you're not some automatic hero. You're a rich celebrity, you'll be fine. Some black kid in the Bronx that comes out is the actual brave one. Frank Ocean writing a letter about his sexuality days before his album was about to be released is not real praise-worthy. Plus, again, he's a rich writer. He'd be fine even he wasn't accepted. Not the same for other black kids living in the real world.

But also i would like Frank to speak more about LGBT issues. LGBT+ POC needs representation and judging by his popularity rn, having him to speak more would be amazing for the cause.

I know that probably he hates exposure and maybe people would say that he's just doing it to sell records, but it's kinda necessary. A lot of people don't even know that he's a part of the community (Hell, i only found out about it the other day and i'm a part of the LGBT+ poc community). Some of you will say "Well, he's an artist, he don't have to talk about his sexuality if he doesn't want to!", yeah, right. But as a public person he should use his voice to bring attention to this too. Not a obligation but would be nice.

About the publications, totally agree. They need to pay more attention to him. But i guess they are busy with gay-pandering, shirtless, basic white straight guys covering their magazines

I don't think it's a black thing... I think it's because Frank is open about his relationships with men but at the same time he has his own identity outside of being "gay" and gay media doesn't like that
