God damn. Can't believe how thoroughly Japan is obliterating Brazil on their own turf. That was like a live movie trailer. They just created worldwide anticipation for the 2020 Olympics.

They were expecting a Super Bowl Halftime type of production in the Opening and Closing Cerimony, but that's just not Brazil's way of doing things. Some people just don't get it and think it was doing poorly.

In a lot of indoor volleyball's matches, the players had to call out the floor sweepers to wipe the sweat off the court instead of doing it automatically like how they were supposed to be paid for.


There were even times when the players did the wiping themselves like they were still in the 70's because they were too slow...

I don't think people had that high of expectations and a lot were pleasantly surprised at the Opening Ceremony given the budget. There was a lot of cute segments like bits about global warming, slavery, immigration, and the amazon - they show what you can do, even when you're on a budget. They're heartfelt.

You're not blaming dancing vegetables on your low budget, though.

Still, this is party the last five minutes is better.

Usually their coverage is really good, I mean remember CTV literally playing "I Believe" every 10 seconds during Vancouver & London? But this coverage is miserable.
