What an amazing album. I listened to it several times last night while driving around with my boyfriend, and I fell in love with it even more. The highlights, for me, are: Ivy (), Nights, Pink + White, Seigfried, Self Control. Out of all the interludes, Good Guy is my favorite.
I agree. Channel Orange has SO many standouts whereas Blonde feels more like an overall mood piece where it's more about how the overall sound and the type of lyrics, not even the actual lyrics, make you feel and the tone they convey.
I almost finished my listen and my opinion and I knew he wouldn't disappoint. I love the magical and mystic atmosphere that has this album and every song flows so well. Nikes, Ivy, Pink + White, White Ferrari and Self Control are the highlights for now.
After a couple listens, I really enjoy this album.
I did sort of feel as if it were missing something so I ended up listening to Endless again and realized that they go so perfectly together. Whatever Blonde lacks for me, Endless makes up for it.
Truly a ton of amazing music from Frank hitting all at once.
So OK. I've read a lot of stuff about all this. Let me see If I got this right.
