Won't constantly compromising just water down the overall PH experience?

Constant compromise is the mantra of Hillary Clinton, thank you very much. Moonchild and I have been friends for years, so our partnership isn't so much a clashing of visions as a combination of ideas. Synergy is the goal, and a part of that is recognizing where you have differences. We believe that our differences ultimately serve as a benefit, allowing us better insight into different contestants and circumstances. As for saves, we determined that we'd rather have individual judge saves than the overall group save, similar to how it worked in PH8.

2) To all - What are your plans to entice new players into the game and how do you plan to ease them in / make them feel fairly represented when the game can be quite cliquey?
|
We have a new program proposed to combat this involving past PH icons returning as mentors periodically (every 2-3 rounds) to serve as more individualized checkpoints for contestants. Having someone who isn't constantly judging you but still cares about your well-being in the game will act as a lifeline for these newer girls. PH is a game of outsiders, and I'm hoping that the Diamond Hit promo will allow us to expand to more games regulars and bring even more people into the section, as a whole. A big part of this is simply forum presence and proper advertising, which, with the help of some great graphic designers, should not be a problem.

3) To all - There's a lot of freedom vs restriction arguments, what potential new challenges can you bring to the table that will please both sides?

It's too soon to discuss exact new challenges, but I think that restriction is as necessary as freedom. Operating within constraints is how we learn to think creatively once those restraints are released. I've actually gone through all the old writing prompts I used when I coached a middle school team, and several would easily translate to songwriting challenges. On the other hand, we also want to give contestants plenty of space to come up with their own concepts. Free zone challenges and ones with options that don't depend on your being here when it's posted (like the Pokemon challenge) are a great place to start.
On a side note, the 2-song challenge WILL make a return if we are selected to host.

4) To all - Will you scrap the recording challenge? Gracias.

As much as I personally disliked that round, I think it served a good purpose. However, its return would depend on the opinion of the entire judging panel, along with the availability of new instrumentals
