Do you guys use powerful pokemon on showdown or just your favorite pokemon? I want to build a team but some of my favorites (or most) are not OU.

it would be really stupid and pointless if alolan meowth loses the unique typing and abilities when evolving into a common persian.

And pure ground cubone evolving into a Fire/Ghost Maroweak? odd.

I mean Persian better get one. I can see a regular Pokemon evolving into an Alolan form but Alolan Meowth evolving into Kanto Persian makes no sense at all

If you can figure out a good team chemistry, then go for it.

My OU team does pretty well for the most part, but I use Dunsparce (PU), Cofagrigus (RU), and Sylveon (UU) along with three OU pokemon (Talonflame, Serperior, and Mega Slowbro).

Play lower tiers or mix. A few of my fave mons just happen to be OU but the majority of them reside in lower tiers.

The fun thing at least about Pokemon is there are many tiers!

What I usually do is see where some of my favorites are at, then I build a team around them in that tier. I'll check what counters it has and then see what counters those Pokemon that counter my fave and more then likely a favorite Pokemon of mine will be there too. Smogon also has a nice section where you can see what Pokemon work well with each other so I'll look at that too.

I built my Doubles OU team this way with some of my favorites like Charizard, Weavile, Jirachi and Rotom and it works really well.

now u hoes. we've seen zubat and golbat in the last trailer and I know this means nothing but maybe they're announcing megas? I'm crossing my fingers they won't drop such an amazing concept after just a generation

It's confirmed for Marowak, sis.



I guess Cubone gets one as well, through breeding (that should be possible, maybe ?). Or they just haven't announced it yet.
