It was so special that after simone winning almost every competition since 2013, she cried when she won, and then Aly raisman getting justice from 2012 in the tie breaker rule, and I think its funny how mustafina always make the podium in major events even when she is not at her best

Mustafina was dragged out if retirement less than a year ago (she announced her uncertainty about continuing in an interview)

Mustafina was hospitalized this March. She's spent more time receiving medical treatment in Germany the last 8 months than she has training in Russia and didn't start training seriously until April...2016 (that's just 4 months ago).

Mustafina still isn't not even at 100%

She was a big question mark comng in and the fact that she's carried her crappy team on her shoulder, competed all events in qualifying and team finals while still recoving from injury, and STILL managed to win an individual medal is amazing

Anyhoo, congrats to Simone!
