in addition to being completely spineless, his manager/"best friend" is Derrick's dad. Derrick coached him on how to play, as well as coaching Paulie, and told James to work with Paulie so James probably won't turn on him. The Levasseur and Calafiore families have single-handedly ruined Big Brother.
