It's an open relationship, not an excuse for sex.

If you actually do some research, most people engage in an open relationship without even realizing. When you're with someone and you go on a "break" you're effectively having an open relationship, since you intend to get back together with them, you just need time apart.

When people think Open Relationship, they think of it being "allowed cheating" and it's so much more complicated than that.

It's so cringey when people think it's just for sex.

It's a decision that should be taken by mature people, if you are some horny lonely guy who got in a relationship because you wanted to be with someone and then agree to an open relationship then expect drama to ensue.

If open relationships are becoming a thing, it's because most guys are not mature enough to handle it and it's a complex thing for those who are saying "Uh why be in a relationship then??"

I dont think I could ever do it, but i've seen couples that do do it and have it actually work. So if you can make it work and still love each other at the end of each day with no jealousy or animosity then go for it.

A guy that i've been with (not exactly a boy, a man since he's 30 ) asked me if i wanted to be his boyfriend but only if we had a open relationship. I said no. He always had open relationships and believes in that, but honestly for me it would be just a way for someone to cheat on me and not feel guilty for it. I wouldn't accept that.

I'm not mature enough to handle it, but i don't really care or judge if someone out there do it. Their lives, their relationships.
