I don't think it is impossible it could happen. Nicki is one of biggest stars in the world like she just covered TIME. I don't think it is a far reach. Pepsi is a big sponsor of the Superbowl and Nicki made a deal with them before. If she makes a big one with them again. They could help her headline

She's just not big enough and her sound isn't family-friendly enough. It's as simple as that.

She could be a guest performer at most. And maybe if the rest of her career goes really well she could do it in 5-10 years. (maybe!)

I was comparing images not really success wise. Like Madonna and Beyonce don't have the cleanest images like Bruno Mars, Coldplay and Katy Perry. Yet they headline

If Nicki was such a explicit artist they wouldn't have let her be a guest performer in the Superbowl 2012. She has gotten bigger and more successful since than. I don't believe she can be crossed out as a possibility.

Nicki was a featured pop act during a pop legend's set. But regardless, rappers are typically not adored by middle America (with whom's the main demographic), due to not appearing conservative or "mainstream" enough.

On top of that Nicki's one of the most polarizing & explicit rappers out there. The super bowl would NEVER take a risk with Nicki. Madonna was one of the biggest risks they've taken & that was due to her legacy as a pop artist.

Madonna was an explicit artist in 1990-1994.

She cleaned up her image with Bedtime Stories and completely reinvented herself with Ray of Light.

I don't even think the Super Bowl would allow Drake to headline, even with friendly tracks like Hotline Bling and One Dance.

If there were a rapper to headline the Super Bowl in the near future, it would be probably be Eminem.
