I am not an avid poke fan so pardon me for asking but is there any good fighting type pokemon in gen 2 strong enough to scalp snorlaxes?

Finally I collected 400 Magikarp candies and made a Guarados 1349 CP (kinda expected more). I need to get a life.

I think Fighting/Stone types are strong against it. I got a Golem and a Machamp and both are good against Snorlax.

Ugh, I was re-registering at my college earlier, and a dratini popped up nearby, but without a functioning footstep Tracker or pokévision, I didn't bother I need 16 more to evolve my 90% dragonair, but I can only really luck out and catch 1 per day.
I now have about 200 bulbasaur candy, and my best one is like 55% ivs ironic that I managed a decent blastoise and a great charizard, as Venusaur is my favorite and the starter I chose. Doubly ironic since I caught two venusaurs, and both had miserable ivs... both by colleges, which seem to be GREAT rate pokémon spawn points, likely die top the high population density/cellular activity.
I also need about 10 more machops for a machamp, PRAYING mine has good fighting moves as snorlaxes give me so much trouble in gym battles.

Nnn fire isn't super effective against lapras, it's water/ice. Fighting, rock, electric and grass hit it super effectively.

jjjj I forgot tha fact that he's water type as well Grass is not really effective against Lapras as well since grass types are weak against ice I suppose only fighting, rock, and electric are effective against it. I don't think machamp/golem is strong enough against a high CP lapras.

I think you're more likely to find them by the bay although all the Laprases I have caught were found in the city centre.

I hate fighting lapras/snorlax in the gym and the only good IV/CP dragonite I have has a defender type attack set (Steel Wing/Dragon Claw) It's no good as a gym raider at all since Steel wing's DPS is the PITS.
Anyway, I am done wasting star dusts and will stop powering up my top pokemons, they can stay 2000+ CP's

Is this a typo, or are you asking about gen 2 which isn't released?
At any rate, normal type is weak only to fighting types. In the original games they can't affect ghosts, but that has been changed to them not being very effective against ghosts (but vice versa).
Machamp and maybe Hitmonchan/Lee are the best snorlax slayers this gen. In gen 2, they added the steel type to balance OP normal types (and psychic, which also got shat on by dark types in gen 2). We'll be getting Scizor and Steelix next Gen (better save up your scyther and onix candy) to help deal with it. I think the only new fighting type is Hitmontop, and we get a new OP rock type in Tyranitar (gen 2's answer to dragonite) which can also resist non-earthquake snorlaxes. And yeah, rock types are resistant to it in this gen too, but I've found that aerodactyl and kabutops are underwhelming in battle.
Edit: oh, also skarmory in gen 2.

I'm actually fuming right now, I just hatched a 90+% squirtle after fully powering and evolving one that is about 75-80%

No I was just contemplating when they finally release generation 2. I might raise a Machamp if I ever find a machop with 90+% IV but at the same time I became a skimp on star dust now after the wasting fiasco I did (prior to knowing about IV's)

nnn I feel really lucky now since there used to be a dratini nest in my city centre before the update which eventually got replaced by a bulbasaur nest I managed to stock up more than 200+ candies. I managed to evolve my 90+ bulbasaur I hatched from an egg into a venusaur now with ideal attack set as well! I want a charizard so badly tho but charmanders only spawn like one at a time where I live but after the update I just got lazy altogether to hunt them

nnnn this is why I don't raise anyone at all anymore if they're not 90+%; I even found a growlithe with 88% and I DELETED it cos I ain't wasting my candies on ha just to eventually find one with 90+%.

^ yeah, the bulba & squirtle nests in my neighborhood haven't changed, but it's just almost impossible to find them with high ivs. I feel like some pokémon have semi-fixed ivs; I've pretty much NEVER ran a dratini or magikarp through the scanner that clocked less than 70% perfection. While I've caught countless starters, and pretty much only the ones I hatch come out with good ivs.
________
I can't wait for gen 3. Aggron, Blaziken, Swampert, Gardevoir, Salamence, Milotic, Metagross, Walrein, Altaria, Flygon, Armaldo>>>>> gen 1 tbh, no shade. Except for Growlithe & Arcanine
Also, am I the only one FUMING at gyarados' attacks? I spent how long on that thing, and I got ****ing bite and twister? not even like, aqua tail or hyper beam like it spams in the anime? blastoise, slowbro & vaporeon >>>

Yeah, Gen 2 had some pretty good pokemon for such a small amount of new pokémon: Tyranitar, Scizor, Steelix, Kingdra, Crobat, Blissey, Azumarill, Donphan, Espeon, Umbreon, Houndoom, Togepi line and imo it has the BEST set of legendaries to date, Entei, Raikou, Suicune, Ho-oh, Lugia, Celebi>>>>>>>
But the starters are forgettable trash, except maybe Feraligatr. I think gen 1 and 3 still have the best starters, tho 7's are looking pretty good so far imo.

There was a Snorlax at my work somewhere and I used one of my incense to try to lure it to me and it didn't work. I happened upon a Dratini and then ran out of balls.
I wasted a hundred of my coins that I was originally saving for an incubator on more Pokeballs and nothing else ever showed up
Ff and now I suddenly have so many 10k eggs and I'm out of extra incubators.
