I really don't think Donutgate was the issue. I think people are still here for her but are just waiting for her to grow up. And she's gotten so complacent with her career lately. She has no motivation to promote this album for whatever reason.
If the GP was totally over her tho, she'd be charting in the lower B100.

No one appreciated Focus so i knew the world had ****ed up taste in music, so i prepared myself for future gems that i like that won't be appreciated.
The real problem here is the lack of promo. Like it or not, Scooter put her on any kind of platform and that's how she really got her name out there. The results are still seen to this date, since the peaks she's reaching are basically the real perception of the GP given the lack of promo.
I don't know why she chose to do DW this dirty, cause it's easily her best effort and could span 6+ singles with ease.
If anything, her popularity outside USA reached a new peak - I live in Italy and she's adored here. I mean, it's one of the few international artists who debuted #1 this year and Into You keeps on rising weekly.
It would be a huge U-Turn, but she should definitely ring Scooter back. It's not like he's giving many attention to Biebs either.

I totally get her worries after "Focus" (even though it didn't even tank), and she brought us an incredible album.
Still, I think it would be being pretty blinded to say that her mom's doing a better job than him cause he's undeniably one of the strongest managers in the biz right now. But that's just my opinion, of course
