In 2000 Bush was 12 points behind Gore before the conventions and then was even with him after the conventions. The convention bounces aren't always the same for both sides.

Bernie did good tonight. I remember now why I supported him. Sticks to the issues. Honest. Humble. The way he looked at his supporters in the audience Glad it didn't turn into a total Trumpfest.

Some nitpicking: I di wish he'd talk more about how his campaign wasn't in vain, how much it did in bringing young people into the political process. how critical it still is to vote for progressive seats in Congress in November.

The part in Michelle's speech when she mentioned how the White House was built by slaves was really poignant, one of the most powerful moments of the night.

This isn't 2000 and statistics indicate that she will get a bounce. What do you want me to say? "oh statistics indicate that she could get a boost but this could maybe potentially be an outlier year where she doesn't like 2000"
