tbh the series has never been great, I always found it competent at best
the speed in the 2D games was always off putting to me so I've never tried them.. the 3D games have always been super clunky and weird too, like it was made by some indie developer on their first game
Haven't played a Sonic game in a long time, since maybe the GBA/GCN era. The original was great, the sequels were good, and the Adventures and Advance series were fun, but they both had their share or problems (clunky gameplay). The new trailer doesn't show much, but I hope it's a good game. I heard that stream for the announcement was the messiest ****.
Also haven't touched my 3DS in forever. I need to get back into Birthright, I was really enjoying it.
The portable + console thing just still seems weird to me. Glad they're going w/ cartridges though
