Work isnt better than formation, the instrumental is really basic and its not that interesting. The vocal performance makes the song which is usual for rihanna, but its really nothing special.
Y'all are crazy. I didn't care for Beyonce's self-titled album but I loved Lemonade, especially Daddy Lessons.
I mean... that song is just astonishingly good. Beyonce takes all these old west tropes and uses them to craft a complelling fictionalized-but-still-vaguely-honest portrayal of her father. The minimal acoustic arrangement complements the atmosphere perfectly, as does Beyonce's vocal performance, combining the power of an R&B diva with the folksy earnestness of a country singer. It's just a fascinating, beautiful piece of work.
