Now that I think about it republicans only have themselves to blame for donald trump. For many years they have ignored the struggles of their main constituency, white working class workers. They developed a tunnel vision on social issues and did everything they could to harm the LGBT community and abortion rights while paying issues their voters care about DUST. It's almost as if choosing trump is sort of their **** you towards the republican establishment. Maybe if they had done something to benefit their voters economically instead of making it impossible for a woman to get an abortion in texas they wouldn't be in this situation right now.

Paul Ryan should run in 2020 tbh.. I seriously think he'd beat Hillary if he ran and he'd get the party back in shape.

All the candidates that ran this year should be scrapped (Rubio and Ted especially) as, like someone said above, they need to rebrand and show that they are for the working people rather than obsessed with fighting against the tide on fringe-right issues such as gay rights and abortion which are ultimately a lost cause and insignificant in the lives of everyday Americans.

- fight ISIS--even if that means sending more US troops into Syria and Iraq.
- he calls himself the 'cheap hawk'

Everything about Paul Ryan screams failure. His term as Speaker has been a disaster, his 'Better Way' has fallen apart. He will run in 2020 but his party will not nominate him.

The republican party has shown it's wants nothing to do with establishment politicians anymore. At least not for awhile. If Trump loses this November, they'll look elsewhere next time.

Exactly. I'm startled by the assumption that the GOP will realign itself back to the centre. Its not happening. They will do all they can to obstruct a Clinton presidency, and when 2020 comes, that obstructionism will continue to empower the most radical candidates.

President Obama’s Kenyan half-brother wants to make America great again — so he’s voting for Donald Trump.

“I like Donald Trump because he speaks from the heart,” Malik Obama told The Post from his home in the rural village of Kogelo. “Make America Great Again is a great slogan. I would like to meet him.”

Obama, 58, a longtime Democrat, said his “deep disappointment” in his brother Barack’s administration has led him to recently switch allegiance to “the party of Lincoln.”

The last straw, he said, came earlier this month when FBI Director James Comey recommended not prosecuting Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton over her use of a private e-mail servers while secretary of state.

“She should have known better as the custodian of classified information,” said Obama.

He’s also annoyed that Clinton and President Obama killed Libyan leader Moammar Khadafy, whom he called one of his best friends.

But what bothers him even more is the Democratic Party’s support of same-sex marriage.

“I feel like a Republican now because they don’t stand for same-sex marriage, and that appeals to me,” he said.

Obama believes strongly in the institution of marriage — so strongly that he has at least three current wives, although press reports have put the number as high as 12.

When asked by The Post how many wives and children he has, Obama demurred.

“That’s personal,” he said.

Obama made headlines in 2011 when he married his third wife, who was still in her teens.
