This is DEFINITELY gonna grow on me to be a MASSIVE bop, even though I still loved it on first listen. I don't care about the label - it seems like she's able to release whatever she wants, and when she wants to. That's what's most important.

After doing more digging because I refuse to believe this mess. I have already DM'd Cher and already emailed Vixen Records but I decided to check out her website and under contact it says

So I googled "Nettwerk" and it comes up with "Label/Artist Management/Publishing" right. So, she's under "Artist Management" and you all probably know that she's managed by these people (although I have just found this out now), but they are also managing artists like "fun." (also signed to them) and "Mike Posner", so surely they would have been able to get Cher a better label then "Vixen Broke Records", or even signed her to them, right?

I just do not understand.

I think the reason why she didn't sign with a major label is because she wanted to take control of everything and do things her way. After all the push backs SIL got and how Epic handled that era I'm sure she was fed up.

Even if she was disappointed with the way Epic/Syco handled her last era and she wanted to go the independent route, there are PLENTY of good independent record labels she could sign to. Why choose a completely irrelevant Scottish label no one has ever heard of? It doesn't make any sense to me.

Does it matter if this is a good single choice? Being real, she's not getting another hit. So as long as it's a likable song, who cares if it's hit-sounding or not.

This song is weird, but likable. There's something intriguing to it. It feels like two different songs merged together though, like the bridge + chorus sounds like a different song.

She's so underrated though. I Wish remains one of the best Pop songs this decade.
