Discussion: Why has Madonna outlasted her peers?

Celine's last English album was such a huge success worldwide. I went to Kenya and South Africa in the summer of 2015 and Loved Me Back to Life was still selling in the bucketloads. I don't remember seeing Rebel Heart though.....
I mean...Celine DOES have a huge fanbase in Africa, unlike Madonna, so it's not a surprise.
Anyway, how can Madonna "outlast" people like Celine, Janet and Mariah, who are still making music and performing? The only peers of hers that she has outlasted are the dead ones.

Because her relevance is on another tier compared to Celine/Janet/Mariah. I went to Peru and Japan last year and asked everyone there. They know who Madonna is but not the other 3.

Peru and Japan have a population of approximately 30 million and 127 million, respectively. You really expect us to believe you asked everyone there? If you're gonna troll, at least do it correctly.

Number one albums mean nothing anymore. You can have a number one album but there are chances the album can be a commercial failure.
In the United States? What about the rest of the world? Didn't Rebel Heart outsell it world wide but not by much of a margin?
Are you bragging about Janet selling 200k in the United States? 
Her lead single did not chart in the top ten which is more important than charting in the lower half of the Hot 100.
Lastly, I love how you left out her tour. Didn't she cancel a majority of her dates while Rebel Heart did 170 M with just arenas?

Unbreakable did sell more in the US and the lead single did chart, unlike Madonna's. Where were the lies. And the "Michael's sister stans" jokes are as old and dry as Madonna's vocals. Much like Madonna, you lack originality.

Crying at you not being able to take someone using your own "logic" against you. And not just that, but one that encompasses a MUCH smaller time frame. American Life was 10 years before Loved Me Back to Life and you're complaining about him comparing albums TWO years apart.

Well if you look at it like this, nowadays Madonna and Janet are not in a state where they can push albums because they are past their prime.
However, Madonna can still put on great shows and gross over $150 M along with Celine and her residences.
Janet......eh.......
