No it won't. Many, including McCain said it's unnecessary. It had over 400 hundred when Obama took office and now it's down to only 90. So the argument of it being a necessity is void at this point.

It is if you're only doing for president spoiling an election. You need a grassroots movement and that starts in down ballot tickets every year.

A debate is not the format to go into policy detail. That's what a website is for. Truth is she has no real plan that doesn't include caveats but has spent the last year talking about "debt free college" as a centerpiece of her campaign.

A president doesn't have much power. Nothing gets done without help. How can you criticize her or Bernie when college affordability wasn't even an issue before they brought it up. The alternative doesn't even talk about let only have a plan. Democrats promise stuff through the wealthy. We all know that's their message and that's what the people voted for. The only Republican who bothered to talk about student debt was Rubio and that's because he actually was in debt.
Giving people hope is better than giving them nothing. I don't know if we can ever get this or that. I mean we can't even get climate change reform because of the other side, but anything is better than nothing. There are already hundreds of free community colleges in the country and Obama started a program giving $100M expanding it this year alone. You see. GITMO's entire annual spending can expand thousands getting a quality education.
