I initially also did say she does nothing but I do remember that she's one of the lowkey ones when it comes to philanthropic acts. However, she messed up when she tweeted what she tweeted initially about people "not using their voices for the right reasons"... I understand she's lowkey but she doesn't use her voice either and at the end of the day, is online doing the same mess everyone is doing right now... she got herself into some deeper **** too bc she couldn't mind her business
So basically, according to Selena, we shouldn't be using our voices on social media to kii @ or drag her good friend Taylor, we should instead be using them for more important, worldly matters.
However hashtags don't mean **** and Selena is exempt from criticism of not using her own voice on social media because her tweets (despite her being apart of the most influential industry, her words..) won't "save lives".

he wrote that selena and taylor never spoke or tweeted about #blacklivesmatter/ police brutality.
Selena respond is not wrong. Sitting at home tweeting hashtag isn't doing anything. Travyon martin event happened 3 years ago and how much has changed since then. Nothing, she basically saying there are better ways to give support.
So basically she said use your voice, then went on to say using your voice is meaningless when she got called out
Like why are you making it about a hashtag and not her directly contradicting herself
This is the standard that every celebrity does. I'm not saying it's a competition. It's great but in regards to current major issues going on right now, where does she stand since as she wants people to use their social media platforms to shed light on those? I don't get why you're taking lowkey as a bad thing. That's good. It's just that, in this case, she sounds like a hypocrite
wow I'm not letting my fellow black pop music stans forget this. The fact that she diminishes the power speaking up against police brutality has as a celebrity, clearly shows she doesn't care about blacks. Good luck getting another hit, might want to start calling Justin again
