Yeah bc it's an ideology & we're trying to target it by dropping bombs -- which only feeds their ideas. It's a vicious cycle.

Exactly, ya'll can say that this has nothing to do with "regular" Islam, but the root of extremism is the religion itself. It's a demonized/perverted version of it but it's gotten out of control.
If America was ruled by the Westboro Baptist Church, I would want every single ****ing Christian out there condemning them, not supporting them at any cost and other Christian leaders to say flat out, no.

It isn't that hard, religions keept being replaced in peoples minds constantly, from worshiping fire, to worshiping old archaic gods to worshiping these faceless beings. It's stupid, tens of thousands of years and humans still haven't evolved to drop this stupidity.

Avoiding the majority of your post at all costs but just think about all of the good that has come of religion and not just the bad. You may then realise the world is what it is largely because of religion and it's best to accept it.
Your less than one hundred years on this planet isn't going to change thousands worth of history and the beliefs of six billion people. It's incredibly selfish and rude to insinuate that your choices in life are greater than everyone else's..

73 people died, 200 were injured because people that follow religion brainwashed an uneducated man whose brain couldn't process that going on a suicide attack and killing dozens of people was a bad idea. I am just so angry. I am not sad, I am not depressed just angry that somebody from my species, almost no different from me did these things and now 73 other people just like me, all their futures and lives are over.

Exactly. Religion has no logic and it's open to interpretation by everyone, so it can be used for so much hate and crime. People are stupid and ignorant so they'll pick and choose what they want to from religion and it's usually rooted in such bigotry/hatred/biasness/etc. The problem is religion, hands down, in every ****ing country on this planet.

Senseless acts of terror in the name of religion are so aggravating. My thoughts are with all those who lost loved ones.

Let's put this out there, the Muslim religion is pretty benign. It's a system of belief like Buddhism, Hinduism, or Christianity. And that's an abstract concept which carries no harm.
It's how those things are enforced that determine the extent to which they should be addressed. If we still had Roman Empire Christianity pushed on us, we would rebuke it as it's an unenforceable system of belief considering what we know and how we live today. Galileo looking at the stars shouldn't be punishable by death, etc. How Islam is enforced is at that place right now. It needs to be slowly phased out of extremism and into liberalism. Where people can practice IF THEY WANT, w/o the threat of death in a majority Muslim country.
And I think as that process takes place, as it is now, the extremists are fighting to maintain foothold of its current mode of enforcement, through fear and violence.

Sure, we can wish that everyone just did their own thing, practiced their own religion and be peaceful but the system is built to fail if the material themselves promote violence/racism/biases/etc. In my opinion, religion looseness allows people to become monsters and hide under the veil of their religion. Religious leaders are the ones who need to step up and say "this is wrong" to put an end to the violence.

I wasn't aware an atheist had never killed anybody
And that murders cancel out the good that religion does in the lives of billions of people
Thank you so much for your sweeping generalizations!
OT: RIP. It's time to do something about ISIS. Let's quit turning this in to a Muslim witch hunt when they're killing millions of Muslims, too.
