Hold up, this Nils Sjöberg guy that apparently co-wrote this song and whose name I've been reading for the past few weeks is actually Taylor? Figures he wouldn't have an own wiki page. This is kinda genius.

She's still the exact same basic white girl, the only difference is that she's doing now pop music.
Not really. She's always gonna have that 'girl-next-door' angle but she changes just slightly enough each era.
RED had a retro-60's aesthetic and the theme was heartbroken girl (this led to all that backlash). 1989 was the complete opposite of that, single girl is happy with her 'squad and feminism'. It's not too abrupt but it doesn't allow her to remain completely the same in the eyes of the GP.

That's not called a reinvention sis. That's what basically every single artist does (minus Katy Perry, who is always serving the exact same thing).
I don't know why people are suddenly realizing Taylor is a snake.
She grew up wealthy, and her dad bought and paid for her career with his connections. She had no previous connection to country music, but she chose to go that route because it is the easiest genre in which to break through and get a hit (or where you go when your career falters; e.g., Darius Rucker, Jessica Simpson, Jewel). Her career in country was merely to build her name so she could crossover to pop. Shameless.
Beyonce did the same thing but on a lesser level with her groupmates.
Taylor changes things up, she wouldn't have been strong for a decade straight with no growth. But she knows not to be too abrupt and superficial in doing it, which is why her fanbase remains.
She might flop like Speak Now though next era, a donut ruined Ariana after all.

The way she followed up her biggest era with a self-written album filled with 6 minute songs. Risky legend.
The Tom Hiddleston mess didn't start two days ago.
No one cares about that besides the stan world

She was signed as the first artist in an indie label before her dad even invested. And you realize country is a genre that's tough for woman to break through right? Let alone a 15 year old girl in a genre catering to old people.
