Praying for SML
Anybody who thinks One Dance is anywhere as close to as big of a hit as Uptown Funk is delusional . One Dance isn't even half the hit to be honest. A lot of people are saying you can't compare the sales between the two songs which is true... But you also can't compare the Spotify streaming between the two as Spotify (opposite to digital sales) has increased and become absolutely huge since then. If released today, UF would still have sold way more than One Dance (probably 4.5-5 million) and been way bigger on the radio while also probably matching One Dance's Spotify streams .

I still think it would have sold at least 4 million. It's sales where out of this world for its time period. It's sold 7 million which is way ahead of all the other late 2014 songs. It would have matched Hello's digital sales. Uptown funk was massive... It's no "My House".

I've been keeping track of its SPS total through what HDD publishes each week and, for now, it's a little over 175k.

I really wanted Mariah to snatch another SOTD
But now it looks like UF is very likely to get that

PRA is #5 on the alltime list while UF! is #12, so it seems that PRA is the current leader for the SOTD.

For about 4-5 (?) more weeks I believe. I don't think that will be enough to carry it up to surpass PRA.
And this was around the time when BB introduced that 25/52 rule, so UF! got screwed out of a lot of charting weeks.

It's run after the cutoff date that is mentioned on that all time chart
27 - 25 - 27 - 30 - 34 - 37 - 36 - 24 - 21 - out
And don't know. Maybe it gets weighted up a bit as basically the last song to have more than 52 weeks on the Hot 100.

I hope Billboard adjust the points somehow. They're too messy.

Unless they change the rules again... It's a lock.
