Random question about dub vs. sub: Am I the only one that will read the manga and then watch the sub (because the dub isn't out yet) and then not really pay attention because I already know what is being said due to reading the manga?

I actually don't read the manga before. For all of my anime I would watch it and when there's no episodes left I contonue where I left off in the manga so I can say I've never had this dilemma

Hmm, I can't sympathize. I love the pain of needles and the sight/smell/feel/taste (tmi I know) of my own blood so it's different for me.

I only really do that when I read a fight or great scene in the manga and wanna see it animated, so then I'll end up watching it subbed when it's released.

I have yet to watch from the Chimera Ant till the End. I finished Greed Island a couple of years back. I have vivid memories of binging on the entire original series in 2012, especially this one time Gon joined the Nen championship, switching back and forth during and between points watching Wimbledon 2012, and then as soon as the episode was done, Pova just got spanked by Sabine.
