On the one hand, I'm finally glad Justin Timberlake is being mocked and dragged on a public scale and I'm not the only one that has to be No$tradamus and stoned for bringing his general obnoxiousness and hypocrisy to the forefront of discussion.
On the other hand, the reason Justin Timberlake is as successful as he is now is because the blacks, for some inexplicable reason, accepted him and supported his reductive, appropriating music, too. So even though it's been a long time coming for Justin Timberlake to have a REALITY CHECK, it also comes off as a little hypocritical that the blacks are just dragging him and not Eminem or even someone as insignificant as Nick Jonas. If you're going to drag whites for allegedly appropriating while not discussing black issues, then drag them all. Don't pick and choose. And even after being criticized, Justin Timberlake is still just another oblivious white pop star, since he tweeted that "We are all one" nonsense.
Justin Timberlake even gives off an oblivious racist "ALL LIVES MATTER" vibe by
ending his silly Twitter apology with the final words: "I have nothing but love for "ALL OF US."

Though some of this is a mess...it's in fact all the truest tea.

She should apologize for Britney using her name, and Janet, this piece of sh*t can't get away so easy.

Nothing sets me off more than seeing MINORITIES bitching and whining and throwing stones at each other over which one of us has it worse, or which one of us is "better" when in reality we're all complete and utter trash in the eyes of most white people. If you're in here using your race, or anyone else's, as a way to pass judgement on another race, while propping up your own, you seriously need to do better.
That's EXACTLY what racist white people in power want. They want us to argue amongst ourselves and fight for the title of "best, most successful minority race" because it means that we're not working together against them. It means we're not working together to change the status quo that has them sitting at the top of the totem pole and ALL OF US clawing away at each other at the very BOTTOM. Stop letting them have the satisfaction. You're only hurting yourselves more. It's ****ing ridiculous.
No one race is better than another, we are all victims of circumstance and our euro-centric society. I don't give a damn if Asians are more "respected" because they make more money than blacks or latinos or because they are more successful in the tech field or because they're quiet and don't complain about anything. I don't care if black people are more "respected" in the entertainment field just because we have more acting awards than Asians. I don't care if black rights groups like BLM dominate the media over another racial rights group, when we still get murdered ad nauseam, with no consequence. Stop arguing over this stupid pointless, trivial ******** like it actually means something in the grand scheme of things.
At the end of the day, we're all minorities. Racist, powerful white people don't give a F*** about ANY of us. They will bury all of us given the chance, it doesn't matter how high your race's SAT scores are, or how much influence your race's culture has on music and entertainment. Stop fighting each other and turn your attention toward the real problem.

I love Justin but he
1. Shouldn't have responded
2. If he had to, he should have come stronger than "we're all the same" which sounds completely tone death and ignorant.
He hasnt done anything in terms of cultural apprpriation since Justified, him wearing Cornrows 15 years ago isn't something requiring of an apology and those messily thinking every "problematic fav" needs to be dragged for such pettiness are overcompensating for feeling powerless and/or misguided into thinking it's highly progressive. It ultimately has no barring on the progression of race relations or equality. The assimilation of cultures is inevitable, pop culture is, has always and will always be a vulture, trying to halt the primary means through which culture expands is a lost cause and a dense one. What people need to do is stand against erasure, double standards and distortion of meaning. JT acknowledging his privileges as white male Rnb pop star would be infinitely more meaningful than he saying sorry for trying to look edge with cornrows or making music he enjoys. Difference between Justin and some others is that JT gives full credit to his influences and anyone who's seen him live knows he puts black musicians at the forefront of his crew. Wanting anything more is just asking for him to not make Rnb music... Which is a conversation not worth entertaining, I think that's likely what his response was referring to but his response felt shallow. Glad he stepped back because he seems out of his depth and genuinely confused, hopefully learns something if he was somehow ignorant to the nuances of the discussion
