I'll never understand "cultural appropriation". Here in the middle east, from what I see, we're more than happy to see that people are inspired by our culture.
It's a US thing, I've noticed many people seem surprised & don't understand why we get upset at a white person wearing a kimono or whatever
It sounds better now than it did 2011-2013!
Probably bc we've moved away from that sound and it sticks out a lot more since it has a more coherent theme/sound/personality (well lack of) than a lot of the dr luke electropop projects.
